Wayne writes "As a biologist, I really do view the practice of a homosexual
lifestyle as a pathological behaviour. A speedy recovery is hoped for."

But if you look to nature, Wayne, you find homosexual behavior in other
species. It is not common, but there is no evidence that it is
pathological, i.e., that homosexuals are in general either damaged or
dangerous. Most of the damage done to children is done by heterosexuals,
simply because they are the larger group.

Konrad Lorentz studied homosexual behavior among greylag geese extensively.
In this animal, it is speculated that the threesomes that form (two males
and one female) are better able to protect the young, and it is thus a
trait that has been selected for. I don't think we should be in the
business of calling a trait a pathology when we don't know why it exists or
what its advantages are. Nature is often wiser than we are.

One of the dead ends of "natural law" was the notion that a trait existed
for one purpose only. If sex existed for reproduction, it was argued, it
should not be used for other purposes. But this is simple-minded, isn't it?
Yet behind all of the arguments about sexuality and reproduction lurks the
same simple-minded notion that there is only one thing going on, and to
mess with that one thing is to mess with the one God.

If this is a right notion of God, then God is definitely a guy, and like
most guys has trouble with doing more than one thing at a time.

Bob (definitely a guy, and definitely not God)
