[Peace-discuss] Nomination of CCHCC for 2010 King Award

Dear Committee Members,
I just heard about this award and hope the deadline for nominations has not passed, or that it has been extended, or that somebody else has already nominated this worthy organization: the Champaign County Health Care Consumers (CCHCC) 
 
The CCHCC deserves this award for at least two reasons:
1) the CCHCC has given many years of dedicated service bringing information and access to  health care toall members of our community, which includes its efforts to bring about the merger of Carle's hospital and clinic
2) the CCHCC's efforts working with the legal system have brought to an end both Carle's and Provena's illegal policy of health care access based on ability to pay.
