years back) write about Amnesty International USA's turn to the dark 
side - particularly their uncritical support of the NATO occupation of 
Afghanistan on the grounds that it needs to protect the rights of women 
- and the parallel with a CIA-group's advice on how to defuse public 
opposition to the war:
