[Peace-discuss] [sf-core] Fwd: Our global responsibility

Warren supports the war.

In 1972, both candidates (McGovern & Nixon) competed over who could end the war soonest, because 70% of the electorate opposed the war.

Just before the election, Nixon's Secretary of State portentously announced, "Peace is at hand!"

Only subsequent misrepresentation - long after the war was over - presented the 1972 election as a contest between a pro-war and an anti-war candidate.

I support Stein's politics but NOT her candidacy yet... and maybe. probably never. Remember George McGovern's run for the presidency?? And he was the actual Dem candidate!! (Sorry folks, dose of reality.) Find sand, insert head... but you'll also have to and forget collateral damage (poor and powerless... and women).
