DG, you may have invited to C-U also Alfred Dreyfus. Notwithstanding, with
the advent of Internet (earlier than 2001) it's been abundantly possible to
link to news and reports about scores of groups of Israelis putting
themselves on the line, endangering their lives, jobs, livelihoods BECAUSE
those livelihoods are entrenched in the aggression and violence of the
occupation.  They don't do that because they are pro-Palestinians, but
because they are pro-Israel, and the humanity manifest in being an
Israeli-Jew.

Inviting speakers could supplement such efforts, sure, but eMail, skype,
faceBook, and visits have been possible for years.  The reason you have not
incorporated any is because of your tagging practices.

To what aim do you want to have a panel of dissidents? to show they are
around and kicking? to show how they fit in your Boolean circles, and how
you accept them?  what good will your acceptance be to their day in, day
out efforts?

In all those years of your involvement with Israel/Palestine, how come you
have not created viable contacts with activists from tIsrael/Palestine?  If
the comfort zone of relegating decisions to elected representatives was
preferable, why let go of it now?

Is this the purpose of the panel? to obfuscate what you haven't done all
these years?
You don't want a free debate to trigger new thinking with the participants:
you want a set-up where your pre-conceived opinions will be, once again,
delivered.  Luckily, you won't do that in D.C. in our names,
