To be frank, AWARE demos should focus on US imperialism, hegemony, provocation and war mongering. I would like to make people aware of the recent release of the Pentagon report which commits us to war in spite of the lack of aggression on the part of Russia, China, Iran etc. 
Engaging in electoral distractions does not educate, it merely agitates.

I would have to agree. The writing here is targeting an audience that is probably already in agreement with the author. If the intention is to bring new information to those who don't have it, I'd suggest providing more background on the information provided in the article. But that's possibly what you meant by "suitably edited".
