Here we have one of the most positive things in years, and Dowd is more
concerned about being snarky then about objectively analyzing what Trump
may have had or not had to do with it, and how she herself might understand
the situation in a way that would, in fair and realistic as well as hopeful
terms, help to move the process forward. The liberal establishment does NOT
want Trump to be able to take credit for any of this, fairly or unfairly,
for reasons that have to do with the general geopolitics of the ruling
class, and the specific ambitions of the Democratic Party.
