Discussion:
-Champaign Unity & Struggle's Israel Divestment campaign
 Can AWARE and Unity & Struggle be close alles? Yes.
-European view on war. Popular opinion & media vs. govt.
 In Europe there's stuff in mainstream media that Americans must find for
 themselves on internet, etc.
 Level of accepted corruption in US is appalling to Europeans
-Keep drama going now that blatant wall of patriotism has faded
 Keep pressure on vs. return to business as usual
-African Studies Graduate Student Conference
 Addressed African diaspora for 1st time
 Some discussion included parallels to Palestine situation
 Peace Projects
 High energy, highly activist oriented conference
 AWARE should borrow enthusiasm

Working group work time:
-Teach in
-Mutual Aid Pact
-Speaker's Bureau
-Candlelight Vigil

Teach-in: coming along nicely. Will be weekend of April 6th.
Mutual Aid-Pact: Passed out cards to sign and return and informational
literature. discussed logistics.
Speaker's Bureau: yup.
Candlelight Vigil: needs publicity! verbal text re: vigil

-Muslim Eid dinner/celebration next sunday 6pm
-AWARE tv thursday feb 28th 8-10 pm featuring Patch Adams & Bill Ayers

-IMC in residence @ Allen Hall unit 1 this week. evenings
-UofI student govt. elections march 4,5 online w/proportional
 representation and instantaneous runoff voting
