[Peace] Anti-war message to Bears fans Sunday!

Hi, all.

Please join us Sunday, September 8 from 10:30am - 12 noon on the corner of
State Street and Kirby Ave. in Champaign to engage Bears' fans about the
pending pre-emptive war against Iraq.

Bush is pounding the war drums but Congress is still undecided.  We can stop
a war.  We must engage the public and urge them to call Congress with an
anti-war message.

I will provide 500 flyers that address why we are against war with Iraq and
how to contact Congress.  I will have signs that ask, "Do you want the U.S.
to use nuclear weapons in your name?" so the public starts to question what
is already being talked about by the Pentagon.

This anti-nuke message was very powerful at the last Bears' fans engagement.

We need you!  Last time we had about 20 people come out.  We had a
marevelous and strong presence.  It's hard work, but we must reach the
ambivalent masses and they are out there.  So pleae come with your best
questions, critical thoughts and signs.  

This will be a great start to the anti-war teach-in that starts at 1pm.
