this coming saturday (september 14th), there will be the 2nd annual Street
Theater Festival (a fundraiser for the Prompting Theater). Please feel
invited to set up an informational table about AWARE in the festival.
please let me know if this will happen so that i can make sure there is
space set aside for the table (space is somewhat limited). there is no
charge for informational tables.

also, there was talk at the this past aware meeting about a death march in
the festival, given that the festival has a renaissance feeling to it, and
death marches were rather important and common during the medieval and
renaissance times (in order to oppose violence and to educate people about
various calamities, from war to diseases). i wouldn't be oppose to this
happening in the festival, in that it fits with the spirit of the the
festival (it is after all street theater, similar to the farmers' market
event last year). actually, at around 8:50ish that night, there will be a
parade of all the workers and volunteers in the festival. if someone from
aware is organizing a death march, perhaps it should join in this parade.
if someone can let me know so that i can, well, be aware of it, i'd
appreciate it. the parade will lead up to the final act of the night,
which is the Brat Pack (who will then play for the street dance for the
next few hours), and so will need to start on time, which is around 8:50.

thanks,
brian
