[Peace] Info. meeting on Clinton plant, Apr. 10

This is a reminder that there will be an informational
meeting regarding a proposed second nuclear reactor at
Clinton this Sunday, April 10, 2005 at 2 PM at
Civitas, 112 W. Main, Urbana.  (Civitas is a couple of
buildings east of the Cinema Art Gallery.)  Ralph
Dring of No New Nukes in Bloomington will speak on the
effects of radiation from nuclear power plants on
health and the connection between nuclear power and
nuclear weapons.  George Gore of the Sierra Club in
Champaign-Urbana will talk about the risks of
terrorism, financing of the nuclear power industry,
and energy alternatives.  There will also be time for
discussion of the upcoming Nuclear Regulatory
Commission hearing on April 19 regarding the proposed plant.
