"AWARE on the Air," presented by members and friends of the Anti-War Anti-Racism
Effort of Champaign-Urbana, the local peace group, is usually seen Tuesdays at
10pm on cable channel 6. This week however technical difficulties at UPTV
prevented its being shown at the usual time, so it will appear instead at 11pm
this evening, Sunday, April 26.

In addition to the usual calendar of recent and upcoming anti-war events,
tonight's program will feature the following commentaries, mostly beyond the
"limits of allowable debate" (LOAD):

   --Ron Szoke ("apostle of inclusivity") refracting "Reflections on Racism";

   --Wayne Johnson ("lux, libertas, et crustula") on "Being in the Right"; and

   --yr. obdt. servt. ("what's so funny about peace, love, & understanding?") on
troubles with diversity and the anti-war movement.

Noam Chomsky on the LOAD: "The smart way to keep people passive and obedient is
to strictly limit the spectrum of acceptable opinion, but allow very lively
debate within that spectrum -- even encourage the more critical and dissident
views. That gives people the sense that there's free thinking going on, while
all the time the presuppositions of the system are being reinforced by the
limits put on the range of the debate."
