[Peace] PANCAKE SUPPER! and mini Peace Bazaar

The Urbana-Champaign Friends Meeting will hold a Pancake Supper and
Mini-Peace Bazaar/Silent Auction at the Friends Meetinghouse, 1904 E.
Main St., Urbana on Saturday, January 30, 2009 from 5:30-7:30 PM.

The proceeds will support the Friends' Ugandan AIDS orphan's school
fees and the Friends' Emergency Fund, which is used to help people in
the community in crisis situations.

They are happy to accept donated items in good condition for the
mini-bazaar/silent auction.  Is there a Christmas gift you received
and stashed away in the closet?  This is the perfect opportunity to
find a good home for it.  For more information about donations,

The most interesting donation so far is a 55 gallon fish tank with a
stand and everything needed to run it except the fish.

The Friend's meetinghouse is located at 1904 East Main Street in Urbana

To reach the meetinghouse by bus, take the 150 Pink line to the corner
of Main and Lierman (weekends and evenings).  The meetinghouse is one
block east on Main Street.  On weekdays, the meetinghouse is served
directly by the 5 Green and 15 Pink lines.

A bicycle rack is available at the west end of the building.

The meetinghouse is wheelchair-accessible.

The meetinghouse has a small parking lot.  Overflow parking is
available at the ILEAS Building (the old Champaign County Nursing
Home), 1701 East Main Steet.
