[Peace] Parkland College to have a public Veterans Day ceremony, Friday, November 11, 10:55am in the Flag Lounge near the Parkland central area

Parkland College will honor the many students and staff who have
served their country in the United States military. The 2011 Veterans
Day ceremony will be held on Friday, November 11 at 10:55 a.m. in the
Flag Lounge (campus central area). The public is invited to attend.

The brief ceremony includes posting of colors by the University of
Illinois ROTC; a presentation of current veterans on campus by Jose
Gomez, president of the Student Veterans Association at Parkland
(SVAP); and a moment of silence with the playing of Taps by Nathaniel
Banks.

The 2011 Veterans Day observance is sponsored by the Student Veterans
Association at Parkland (SVAP).
