[Peace] conference on the Middle East and North Arica

Conference on The New Middle East: Social and Political Change in the
Twenty First Century, which has been organized by the Center for South
Asian and Middle Eastern Studies (CSAMES) at the University of
Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.  The conference will be held October
18-20, 2012 .

All events will take place at the Levis Center; 919 West Illinois
Street, Urbana,  except the screening of the film The Seperation.
The conference is free and open to the public.
Registration is requested in order to attend the conference meals

For instance, one talk is '"Unusual Convergencies": Peacemaking and
"Other Spaces" in Israel/Palestine' by Joyce Dalsheim, Dept from the
University of North Carolina

There will be a panel on "How are Minorities Faring?"
