Mark your calendar:  Monday, April 15, 5-7pm, at Champaign Public Library

The newly 
formed UNESCO Center for Global Citizenship is 
bringing Guy Djoken, Executive Director of the UNESCO Center for Peace and Vice President of the State of Maryland
 NAACP, to Urbana-Champaign to help launch this exciting town/gown initiative.

Guy
 was born in Cameroon, West Africa, and came to the United States after 
his father, a political prisoner, was released from jail there and after
 he himself was warned by government authorities to tamp down his 
activism.  His experiences have made him an ardent advocate for civil 
and political freedoms.

Please attend this event to learn about UCGC and its goals to promote intercultural relationships, understanding and peace both locally and globally!  Consider adding your energy and ideas to help develop and grow this venture!
