[Peace] Die-In @ Alma Mater - Monday 12/8, 11:00/11:30-4 - #BlackLivesMatter #handsupdontshoot #icantbreathe

In light of the recent decisions concerning Black lives in America, join 
us for a *peaceful Die-in* this Monday at the Alma Mater (Green & Wright 
in Champaign) in protest against the injustice.

We will be walking out at *11 am* to meet at Anniversary Plaza [where 
the Illini Union faces the UofI Quad] where further instructions will be 
provided.

The protest will begin at *11:30 at the Alma Mater.* *Wear all black!

This event is being spearheaded by the CBSU but is being organized with 
a number of undergraduate and graduate student organizations along with 
community organizations, Champaign-Urbana Citizens for Peace and Justice 
(CUCPJ) and local NAACP chapter.

Please notice the time change of this event. The entire event will last 
4.5 hours. If you are on campus, there will be a walkout at 11 am with 
folks meeting outside of the Illini Union - Quad Side. Instructions will 
be given there.

For those that can't make the walkout or are coming later, the schedule 
is as follows:

11:30 - Demonstrators will proceed to Alma Mater and peacefully sit. 
Members from the CBSU, GEO, and other organizations will make statements.

12:01 pm - A shots fired announcement will be made and approximately 1/3 
of demonstrators will proceed to die.

12:02 pm - Another shots fired announcement will be made and another 1/3 
of the demonstrators will proceed to die.

12:03 pm - The final shots fired announcement will be made and the 
remaining demonstrators will proceed to die.

The Die-In will last until 4:00 pm.  Some folks will have to come and 
go. That is fine. If you show up late, find a place to lie down or 
assist those who are already lying down. You will be able to find your 
place. Organizers will be there to direct you where to go.
