hi kate,

just a few notes.........

mainly, it's me and lynsee that are workin on gettin eric from ghana to
the BR. the main sticking pt. seems to be that he seems to wanta stay for
like a whole yr. workin for wrfu, or other radio stuff -- for which he
seems to have some experience -- only thing is, rfu operates on like no
dough, certainly not enough to keep him runnin for a month, let alone a
yr. so, i put out a query to the rfu list to see if anyone will help
out....no one has yet responded.

on carlos euceda from honduras, he was here about 1 1/2 yrs ago. we need
$415 to cover his plane ticket. i jus talked to our board president, and
we decided that primary communications project can "lend" the "bring
carlos to the BR" fund that $415, hoping to get at least somma that back
thru small fundaisers, possibly an honorarium thru the dept. of
latinamerican studies at the u of i, etc. [pcp and i are also committed
to providing transportation, food, lodging and translation for several
weeks outside of the BR.]

it'd be a big help if both of these dudes could get free food, housing,
and BR registration during the BR. sounds like some accord from local BR
folks on giving eric those.

yup, the kalyx center can get kinda cold for campin outside in nov., but
we got a house w/ wood heat thats nice and toasty, and would sleep about
10 folks easily, and the meeting space/barn could sleep a whole lot more,
but it's well ventilated. and, yeah it's about 45 min. actually from the
imc, but it's also scenic which may be important to some, and anyone comin
in from the west or southwest to the BR might wanta stay a night on the
way to or from. if it's wanted, the bonfire is, of course, available to
all

peace, bill
