Hi BR group,

About a point person for entertainment:

We don't have many people consistently attending our shows group
meetings on Thursday nights (the shows group as a whole is just getting
our feet back on the ground), so it makes it difficult to get a shows
group member that will be able to attend your Wednesday meetings
regularly, or even for this week. We'll see what we can do. I'm not sure
what other info you need from us besides the show info below.
It appears that people in the shows group don't have an opinion on what
the layout of the IMC space should be, so I can't help you there--we
hadn't discussed it at our meeting yesterday. I'm
not sure what the IMC shows representative will be able to bring to your
meeting or what they will get from the meeting, since it is unclear
whether the shows group as a whole is really in a position to help with
the barn-raising in any other way than the two nights of shows, which
you will see below is taken care of. We can email you more details about
set-times and the like, but it's too far away to do that yet. If for some
reason the IMC space is not ready for those 2 nights of shows, we are looking
into having the shows regardless, either at the McKinley Foundation or the
Channing Murray.


In terms of a budget for the 11th/12th shows, we have a show lineup for
both nights at the IMC. As of now, one band needs gas money from North
Carolina, and other bands can take a percentage of the door, which means
that people outside of the barnraising need to be able to get in and pay
(we have other out-of-town bands coming, so we need to help them out
too). The IMC shows group has some money, so I don't think that you even
need to talk about a budget for the shows if the general public will be
able to get in.

Here is a tentative run-down for the two nights:
