[Vip-recreation] End of this week and spring break...pass this along if you can

If you aren't going to the Cancun, the next best thing is
volunteering, right?!  Ok, sorry about that...here are some
opportunties for the end of this week before you go to the
beach or if you aren't going to the beach and are staying in
town for spring break (please pass this info along to anyone
that may be interested...or couldn't fit in your suitcase to
go with you to Cancun) Thanks:)

1.  Be a Referee for youth basketball this Thursday from 6-9pm
at the Don Moyers Boys and Girls Club. Email Rebecca at
rzwang2 at uiuc.edu - need atleast 3 more people so please help:)

2. Parent's Night Out at the YMCA - pizza, movies, crafts,
games, and swimming with the kids while the parents have a
night off.  From 6-9:30pm this Friday.  We only need a few
people so please help out, it's fun and you get a free meal:)

*YMCA Afterhours (basketball, pizza, music) will also take
place during both Saturdays of Spring break but rides will not
be provided so if you want more info email Jim at jkrejci at uiuc.edu

3.  All aboard!!  The C-U Express Festival is an amazing event
celebrating the arts ability to bring people of all
backgrounds together.   There will be live performances Friday
and Saturday at the Virginia Theatre of Little Theatre of the
Deaf, where actors perform entirely in sign language, which is
then translated into  On Saturday we will be closing down the
street in front of the Virginia Theatre to create an outdoor
carnival with activities focusing on the festival's main
themes:  the senses, imagination, the arts, carnival games,
and accessibility.  

Friday has live Theatre Performances of Little Theatre of the
Deaf at 9:30 am and 1:00 pm.  
We will be leaving from in front of the Union the Union (in
the VIP van) at 9:00 and 12:30, respectively, for these events.

Saturday includes a 1:00 pm performance from Little Theatre of
the Deaf, so we will be leaving at 12:30 again on Saturday to
do this.

Please email Shane (cochran at uiuc.edu) if you would like to
help out at any of these amazing events! The Carnival runs all
day Saturday, so feel free to check it out, in downtown Champaign!

Date/Time: THIS Friday (Mar 18) / 9am-12am & 12:30pm-3pm,
Satruday (Mar 19) 12:30-3pm.
Where: Meet at the Union Circle Drive; Shane will be driving
the VIP van
