    coupons
at the Bergner's Community Day Event on Saturday, November 23. All
proceeds
from the coupons will go to awarding grants for books and supplies to
eligible

Thompson at 328-3313 or 344-9265 (Eve) or email at spsf at soltec.net

Chill in beautiful East St. Louis! The East St. Louis Action Research
Project (ESLARP) is hosting three Outreach Weekend opportunities this
    fall, September 27 & 28, October 18 & 19 and November 8 & 9. ESLARP is an
interdisciplinary project within the College of Fine and Applied Arts.
Faculty and students from several campus units collaborate with each other
and East St. Louis neighborhood groups on highly tangible and visible
projects that address the immediate and long-term needs of some of the
city's most distressed communities. Let me also just say that that St.
Louis has an _amazing_ night life; a ton of great jazz clubs, and is a
great place to go for a weekend outing. For more info check out
www.eslarp.uiuc.edu/volunteer or give a call to Justin or Vicki at
    265-0202.

Attention, Attention! Youth for Christ (YFC) is looking for volunteers
for
their programs Campus Life which involves mostly school activities. Also
Teen Moms which need people for afternoon and evening times. Last but of
course not least their outreach program Youth Guidance which works with
Juvenile Detention Center and Youth Probation. Contact scoot at yfceci.org
or go
    to the website www.yfceci.org.

service to Women and their minor children who have experienced domestic
violence. Upon completion of this training, participants will get a
certificate recognized by the Illinois Coalition Against Domestic
Violence, be able to work on the hotline and provide direct service to
clients. Please contact Kim Morin, volunteer coordinator if you are

singers) to help spruce up the evening. Contact Scott Burnsmier or Judy
