1. Already volunteering?  Looking to work on community projects AND earn
academic credit?  LINC:  Learning in Community is a 3-hour, campus-wide
course emphasizing project management, teamwork, leadership, and community
engagement.  Current LINC projects include: helping Habitat for Humanity
create a resale store, developing horticulture projects for children and
young adults with severe disabilities, tackling the problem of arsenic in
the water of the people of Bangladesh, designing and implementing outdoor
classrooms for local elementary and jr. high kids.  HOW TO REGISTER:
Listed for Fa03 as ENG 199 and LAS 199, section LNC.  Meets Tues
(3:00-3:50 pm)/TH (3:00-4:50 pm). To learn more about all LINC projects

2. Champaign Park District is hosting an Easter Eggstravaganza (!) and
needs volunteers to stuff easter eggs for the egg hunt.  Volunteers are
needed from 5:30-10:00pm on April 10th.  Pizza and soda will be provided!

up.

*3. Family Child Care center is looking for volunteers to categorize books
in their library by subject with labels.  For more information contact
Sascha Meinrath at meinrath at uiuc.edu or 333-7424.

4. Office of Volunteer Programs is hosting their next Dialogue on Civic
Engagement next week on April 17th to discuss "Activism: A Single Voice
Can Make a Change."  The dialogue will be held in 404 Illini Union at 7pm.
Dinner will be provided, so please RSVP to volson at uiuc.edu or 277 Illini
Union ASAP.  Come and bring your passion, power, and wisdom as we together
hope to listen, catalyze, and connect students to powerfully impact lives
through politics and service.

*5. Anyone in the mood for some spring cleaning...even though it doesn't
look or feel like SPRING!  Provena Behavioral Health needs volunteers to
spruce up their play and art therapy room by clean and fix broken toys;
but most importantly an overall clean is needed for the room.  For more

*6. Resoration Urban Ministries needs volunteers for their "Create/Design
Kids Summer Hang-Out Program."  Volunteers with leadership skills are
required to crate the curriculum, coordinate fieldtrips, get supplies and
equipment, and most importantly to attract local businesses to donate
money and supplies.  For more information contact Sascha Meinrath at

*7. Anyone want to get their hands dirty??? Sheri Dee is looking for
volunteers to cleanup/rake and lay new/old mulch inluding hanging new
